For most of my life, I was searching.

Searching for the right career. The right path. The right version of myself that would finally feel real. I moved through roles and relationships and reinventions, always with this quiet, relentless feeling underneath — that I was supposed to be something, but I didn't know what. That everyone else seemed to have a map I'd never been given.

Life felt like a struggle not because things kept going wrong — but because I kept trying to be something I wasn't. And I didn't even know that's what I was doing. I just knew nothing quite fit. Nothing quite felt like home.

I'm still on that journey. I want to be honest about that. I haven't arrived at some finished, perfected version of myself. What I have found — and what changed everything — is this: I stopped trying to become something and started getting curious about what I already am.

That shift didn't make life easier. But it made it real. And real, I've learned, is the only foundation anything can actually be built on.
